Everything here in Moyogalpa is good. We’re finally getting into a routine and we’re looking forward to the new service year, clean slate for service time. The weather has been wonderful, I guess we caught a few of the hurricanes that have been forming, but nobody’s complaining. Two times the rain came dumping down with tons of wind and creatures running for cover. It even formed a river bed in our kingdom hall parking lot. When we’re in service everybody goes running for cover (a big tree) but we always end up soaked, no worries though we’re all dry in about ½ hour.
We’ve been busy on some kingdom hall projects, since we’re also the assembly hall much more is expected of our beautiful landscaping. Last week we dug up a big area of the lawn that was different than the other grass and transplanted new grass in its place. Sounds easy but it took a long time “sewing” new grass blades piece by piece in the dirt, (that’s the picture).

We’ve been preaching down by the water lately and that’s our favorite, it’s always so pretty there and peaceful, the people are a little more relaxed and not as busy for some reason, so the conversations are always a little more in depth. In the picture you can see the makeshift washing machine they use out in the water to clean their clothes....we dont swim there.
Last week in one of the nearby towns that’s in our territory 2 girls became possessed in the evangelical church, apparently it wasn’t the normal talking in tongues so the cong. became frightened and considered it actual satanic possession. According to the eye witnesses, one girls eyes turned red and the others turned white, then they started convulsing and speaking in deep men’s voices, they said it sounded like they were speaking English, (figures they’d think that Satan lives in the united states). Anyhow we used it as a witnessing topic in the ministry talking to people about how they can protect themselves from Satan and his demons, we also posed the question, “why were the demons able to get into the church in the first place if its supposed to be a house of God?” This made for lots of really great discussions in the territory.
Something we really enjoy about the ministry here is that at every meeting for field service the brother conducting provides the group with the necessary literature then gives us a suggested presentation including a question and a scripture afterwards he shares a thought provoking scripture to help us improve in our ministry. Everyday its something different, a different question, different scripture and usually a different publication. For example the offer in August was any brochure, so everyday brochures were passed around, sometimes you only end up with one or two in which case after you place them you start placing tracts, lately we’ve run out of brochures so every morning a different tract is brought in and is given its own presentation with a question and a scripture. Its felt really good stretching our spiritual legs so to speak and talking about something different every morning. Sometimes its a little intimidating though when you show up and find out that your going to be explaining the difference between spirit and soul or the trinity or something a little less typical for the door to door presentation.
We've been really encouraged to hear of all the new pioneers for the upcoming service year, keep up the good work, and we look forward to hearing about your experiences as well, so dont be shy email us.
Well, that’s about all for right now, we’ll keep you posted when we put up another entry.
With love Kirk and Kelly
