Though it's been about a year and a half since we were last here in Nicaragua it really does seem just like yesturday. We're not sure why but somehow we expected people and things to look different after not seeing them for some 515 days but to our surprised enjoyment they didnt and things here picked up right where we left off. Well not exactly, we are starting off in a new town and a new congregation with new territory and a new house. Nicaragua experienced a bad drought last rainy season and so things looked pretty sad and dry when we got here but alas the rain started about 11 days ago and hasnt stopped since so green is back and brown is out. We spent the first 2 weeks or so re-aquanting ourselves with old friends and making new ones along the way and below are some pictures of all of the above, ie: dry horizon, fun at the beach, etc.

Here are the before and after pictures of our new house that we're renting. Its 2bedroom and a bathroom (for all you interested visitors out there) for a whopping $70.00 a month!. The meetings are held in the front yard wich is also the patio of a family in the congregation, so theres always a nice outdoor breeze however we've yet to see what everybody does when it rains sideways. We have star fruit, avocado, banana and mango trees and lots of shade. I think we got the best bargain for our buck at this place!

Lastley a picture of kirk installing our a.c. unit and the fact that the electric company has yet to install an elctric meter means long cool nights and even longer cooler days.
Stayed tuned for our next episode "The joys and challenges of our territory" on Nicapatrol.

Love the duct tape!
I really love the free electricity ... just hope you don't get a bill like we did here in PR... Over $12,600 ... yes, that's right, more than 12 thousand dollars ...
